There have been 18 arrests so far made by the Upper West regional police command in connection with the killing of 11 people in Wa, the regional capital, by unknown men.
Saeed Abdu-Shakur, a principal state attorney in the Upper West regional office of the Attorney General’s Department, confirmed the arrests to Citi News, saying that eight of the suspects had been granted bail.
As part of the investigation into the killings that have occurred in Wa in the last nine months, the remaining 10 have been remanded in custody for further investigation.

The police had announced a GH¢100,000 bounty on the people behind the Wa murders.
Police have special purpose intelligence and investigation teams working with members of the community.
