Rustum Gameli Senorgbe, a top Ghanaian referee, has been nominated for the Special and Meritorious Awards in the forthcoming 2022 Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards.
The Ho-based official officiated in a variety of domestic competitions, including the Ghana Premier League, Division One League, and MTN FA Cup.
Since earning premier league status in 2019, the class one referee has been among the best on the local scene.
Following an outstanding performance, Rustum was named the best referee in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season by SWAG president Kwabena Yeboah.
Rustum Gameli Senorge, a Marketer, is one of six people shortlisted in the category.
Kingsley Owusu Achiaw of Bechem United, Reks Brobbey, Christine Ashley – Chess, and football administrator Ashford Tettey Oku are among those on the list.

Right to Dream founder Tom Vernon and professional golfer Danny List round out the seven individuals nominated for the Special and Meritorious Awards Category.
Meanwhile, the 2022 SWAG Awards are set to take place on January 28, 2023.
