According to Joy News, Obeng is accused of slitting Messiah’s throat with a kitchen knife before further mutilating him with a dagger. Following the murder, he attempted to dispose of the body by dragging it into a nearby pond.

After the incident, Obeng informed his uncle, Kofi Appiah, who rushed to the scene, only to discover the lifeless and blood-soaked body of his nephew. Appiah noted that Obeng has a history of chronic weed smoking, which may have contributed to his mental state.

The family, which includes five children, is now grappling with the devastating loss and the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. The community is left in shock, as they seek answers and justice for the young victim.
