Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, represented President John Dramani Mahama at the inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV held at Saint Peter’s Square in Vatican City on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

In a Facebook post, Ablakwa expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to attend the historic event. He described it as a “profound honour” to represent both the President and the nation at such a significant occasion.
