Ghana draws in Group C of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations
The Africa Cup of Nations start on January 9, 2022 and closes on February 6, 2022
The Black Stars draws in Group C of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nation with 1976 champs Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
The multiple times Africa Champions selected a precarious draw at the draw held in Cameroon at the Yaoundé Conference Center.
In the last draw posted on Twitter by CAF, the Black Stars will play Morocco, Gabon and Comoros at the gathering phases of the competition.
However, the Black Stars are currently chasing their potential fifth Nations Cup title after last winning the competition in 1982.
Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has been entrusted with winning Cameroon 2021, and will begin arrangements vigorously as he looks to accomplish his goal. Ghana will open her record with the game against Morocco in Group C. Meanwhile, the host Cameroon draws with Burkina Faso, Cape Verde and Ethiopia, however, the following are the groups from the draw
A: Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Cape Verde.
B: Senegal, Zimbabwe, Guinea, Malawi.
C: Morocco, Ghana, Comoros, Gabon.
D: Nigeria, Egypt, Sudan, Guinea-Bissau.
E: Algeria, Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast.
F: Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania, Gambia.
Ghana’s all time leading scorer, Gyan, is one of two special guest to grace the event. Speaking to CAF’s website, the ‘Baby Jet’ wished Ghana the best of luck and believes the new Black Stars team can make headways in Cameroon next year
