Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, has made a generous donation to the victims of the floods resulting from the Akosombo Dam Spillage in Ghana’s Volta Region.

He carried out this act of kindness on Wednesday in collaboration with Wembley Construction, and the donations were received by North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.The donated items, as seen in pictures, included mattresses and food products.

The floods, which have persisted for several weeks, have led to the displacement of numerous people in the Volta Region.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa expressed his gratitude on social media, commending Stephen Appiah not just for his football prowess but also for his remarkable generosity and kind heart.

“Thank you El Capitano, Wembley Construction & Nathaniel Attoh.” North Tongu will never forget your kindness.”

The Akosombo Dam Spillage Flood is a flood that occurred in the south-eastern part of Ghana. It resulted from a controlled release of water from the Akosombo Dam and the Kpong Dam by the Volta River Authority to manage rising water levels.
