Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer, Akwaboah Jnr., has announced his forthcoming marriage to his longtime girlfriend, marking a significant milestone in his personal life.

The talented musician, renowned for his contributions to Ghana’s music industry, shared the exciting news on his Facebook platform. Pre-wedding photos have already surfaced online, eliciting excitement from fans and followers.

Akwaboah Jnr., whose birth name is Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., hails from Mampong Beposo, Ghana, and is esteemed for his mastery of highlife and hiplife genres.

He is the son of highlife musician Kwadwo Akwaboah, a legacy he has upheld with his own musical accomplishments.

His exceptional songwriting abilities have earned him accolades, notably with hits like “Daa Ke Daa” for Becca and “Ayeyi Ndwom” for DSP Kofi Sarpong, both of which clinched awards at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards. Akwaboah Jnr. was honored as the “Songwriter of the Year” for “Daa Ke Daa”, cementing his reputation as a gifted composer.

In addition to his solo career, Akwaboah Jnr. has collaborated with various artists, showcasing his prowess as a master keyboardist.

He has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Hugh Masekela and John Legend, contributing to their musical ventures.

Akwaboah Jnr. joined Sarkcess Music, a record label owned by BET Award winner Sarkodie, further solidifying his presence in the music industry.

He played a pivotal role in Sarkodie’s fourth album “Mary”, where he produced and co-wrote songs, demonstrating his versatility and expertise as a producer.
