Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the General Overseer of Action Chapel International Ministry, is preparing to take legal action against the online portal ghanacelebrity.com for allegedly disseminating false information about his son.
The Archbishop’s legal team, Sustineri Attorneys, issued a formal demand on October 15, 2024, requesting a public apology and retraction of the defamatory statements.
The contentious report claimed that Duncan-Williams’ son had revealed private discussions with pastors concerning Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential aspirations.
The legal team contends that these allegations are entirely unfounded and have been widely circulated on social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter), further exacerbating the misinformation.
Duncan-Williams’ legal representatives have characterized the article as defamatory, malicious, and misleading, accusing ghanacelebrity.com of deliberately publishing false content.
They have demanded an immediate apology and retraction to mitigate the damage caused. Should the portal fail to comply, the Archbishop’s legal team has warned that they will pursue legal action to safeguard his reputation.
