The Atebubu College of Education has held a graduation for its first batch of Bachelor of Education program.
The Atebubu College of Education, on Friday, June 30, 2023 held the 10th congregation ceremony for the first batch of B.ED students who enrolled in the 2019/2020 academic year. This batch students, who are the beginners of the Bachelor of Education program brought their study in this program to a halt in October, 2022.
Under the patronage of the principal of the college, Dr. Samuel Addai-Boateng, this congregation was held under a theme dubbed as “Enhancing I.T. Education Integration In Contemporary Teacher Education: The Role of Colleges of Education.”
As this marked the first graduation ceremony for the first batch of Academicians, prominent dignitaries honoured this graduation and made it a wonderful and thrilling one.
In attendance, were dignitaries such as Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan and Hon. Justina Owusu Babahene, the Bono East Regional minister and Bono Regional minister respectively, the Omanhene of the Atebubu Traditional Council, Ohempong Yeboah Asiamah, and the Atebubu Traditional Council, and then Prof. Ing. Abdul-Rahman Ahmed, the Dean of the faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who doubled as the guest speaker of this congregation.
This congregation which was held at the Nana Kwaku Kwaah II auditorium also had graduands and their loved ones there to witness and also the rest of the student body.
This congregation which marked the graduation ceremony of the first batch of B.ED students had Master Gbande Abraham Nyande as the overall best student and best graduating male student and then Mistress Belinda Nsanato as the best graduating female student who both received honorary awards for their indefatigable efforts.
