Barcelona seems unconcerned with recent reports that Lionel Messi has opted to sign a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Sport, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is anxious to get the World Cup champion back to the Camp Nou and would “do what he can to try and make it happen”.
Laporta has made Messi’s prospective return a “priority” for the Catalan club ahead of the summer, and plans to contact the Argentine directly in order to persuade him to reject an extension in Paris.
Barcelona is hoping Messi would sign so he can continue on as an ambassador once he retires.
