Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has unveiled a bold plan to train approximately 1 million young Ghanaians in coding and software applications if elected in the 2024 polls.
Speaking to a crowd in Kwahu Mpraeso on Saturday, March 30, following a special Easter health walk, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of technology in shaping the future and highlighted the role of Ghanaian youth in driving technological advancement.
He stated, “The future is technology, and the youth of this country are crucial to propel our goals in technological advancement. That is why I have pledged to train about 1 million young Ghanaians in coding and software applications under my Presidency.”

In addition to this ambitious training program, the NPP flagbearer promised to implement bold decisions, including reforming the tax system.
“A vote for me signifies a vote for innovative solutions. I am bringing fresh ideas and bold solutions to propel our nation forward. As part of this, I will introduce a new tax system featuring a flat tax rate and provide tax amnesty to businesses and individuals,” he affirmed.
Dr. Bawumia urged NPP supporters to unite and work diligently towards securing victory in the presidential elections and achieving a parliamentary majority.
