This upward movement follows the team’s victories over Mali and the Central African Republic during matchdays three and four of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Under the guidance of coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars staged a comeback to defeat Mali 2-1 in Bamako earlier this month and subsequently edged out the Central African Republic 4-3 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

In addition to their global ranking improvement, the Black Stars have advanced two positions on the African continent, moving from 14th to 12th place.

Globally, Argentina maintains the top spot, continuing their strong performance, with France holding onto second place. Belgium remains third, while England has dropped to fifth, allowing Brazil to rise to fourth.
