Brymo, the Nigerian singer-songwriter, has alleged that Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning musician, took his intellectual property without permission.
Brymo made the accusation that Burna Boy had taken material from the title track of his upcoming album, “Macabre,” and incorporated it into his songs “City Boys” and “I Told Them.” He deemed this an act of “crime” and urged that it should be subject to legal action and even possible incarceration.
Through his Instagram, Brymo announced that by the conclusion of this year, people will remember that Macabre was not released publicly, but instead was given to Burna Boy along with City Boy and I Told You.

The track titles I mentioned earlier served to illustrate the fact that the latter, along with their album title, is what I sing about in my song ‘Macabre’. Burna really is a boy, and that is a punishable offense. If people decide to bring back legends to accuse me of taking their songs, they will regret it deeply. Don’t they listen?
