In reaction, CETAG announced on Tuesday, July 23, that it is halting all its services following the directive from the Minister of Education.

The statement from CETAG, issued after an emergency meeting of the National Council, confirmed the unanimous decision to withdraw from all activities, including attending meetings, participating in congregation ceremonies, providing academic counseling services, and supervising students in the halls of residence, effective immediately.

CETAG also stated that it has referred the directive to freeze their salaries to their lawyers for appropriate legal action. Meanwhile, GTEC has urged CETAG members to return to their classrooms, assuring them that their concerns are being addressed.
