Lead trainer of the Black Galaxies , Annor Walker, says the team is in Algeria to bring home the 2023 African African Nation Championship(CHAN).
Walker is wanting to turn into the primary mentor to lift the trophy for Ghana after fruitless endeavors in the past three versions the team was involved.
Milovan Rajevac and Maxwell Konadu took the group to the last in 2009 and 2014 while Herbert Addo’s 2011 side couldn’t go past the group stage.
Yet, Walker, who is driving the team presently, says the group is in Algiers to win the CHAN competition interestingly.
“From what our head of delegation said that we are here to win the tournament ? Yes. We didn’t come here to come and joke. We didn’t come here to look at how Algiers town is,” he said.
“We came for a purpose and we also came to win the cup.”
The Black Galaxies played their last friendly game on Tuesday, January 10, against Mozambique, but the match ended abruptly after a penalty controversy,they’ve been preparing ahead before the beginning of the CHAN competition on Friday,January 13.
