Chelsea has reached an agreement on a sponsorship deal worth over £40 million with the United States-based sports technology company, Infinite Athlete, making them the new front-of-shirt sponsor.
At the beginning of the Premier League season, Chelsea did not have a front-of-shirt sponsor, as their previous agreement with the communications company Three had expired.
The sponsorship deal with Infinite Athlete covers both Chelsea’s men’s and women’s kits for the 2023-24 season. Chelsea’s women’s team will debut the sponsored shirts in their Women’s Super League opener against Tottenham on Sunday, while the men’s team will play Fulham on Monday.
In terms of value, this deal places Chelsea among the top earners in the Premier League for shirt sponsorship, similar to rivals Tottenham and Arsenal.
For comparison, Liverpool’s deal with Standard Chartered is reportedly worth £50 million per year, and Manchester United recently announced a partnership expected to exceed £60 million per year starting next season.
