Mr. Cyril Kekeli Amevor has today Wednesday, 9th August, 2023 celebrated his birthday with the pupils of Ho Heve E.P Basic School where he made a donation of sanitary pads to the female students under the “PAD THE GIRL”initiative .
Beneficiaries of the “PAD THE GIRL” initiative sponsored by Cyril Kekeli Amevor were female adolescent students at the Ho Heve E.P Basic School.
During a Personal and Menstrual Hygiene education section, The Ho Central Constituency women’s Organizer of the NDC talked about how these girls can keep high personal and menstrual high hygiene during that time of the month.
In an interview with Ted News Ghana, Mr. Amevor highlighted the increasing cost of sanitary pads in the country and admonished the government to scrap the luxury tax placed on the commodity.
He was joined by a team of friends and other individuals who supported this initiative. Notable among them were; Ho Central Constituency Women Organizer of the NDC, Madam Margaret Akua Dzogbewu-Arku, Ho Central Deputy Constituency Women Organizer of the NDC Madam Hajia, Women Organizer Bankoe Branch NDC Madam Stella and the Volta Regional Deputy TEIN Coordinator Jones Amegashie-Viglo.
