Davido has announced his intention to step away from the music industry, citing ongoing media disputes involving himself and fellow artist Wizkid as a primary reason.
Expressing feelings of being targeted and encountering hostility within the Nigerian music community, Davido pointed to recent online conflicts, allegedly triggered by a video shared by Wizkid, as contributing to his decision.
In a recent post, Davido voiced a strong belief that there are many who wish for his departure from the music industry, which has influenced his choice to take a step back.

Despite currently working on a new album, Davido plans to retire from music once it is completed. He aims to redirect his focus towards pursuits beyond the music realm.
