The foundation’s lineup of activities will kick off with an extensive media tour and educational talk. This initiative aims to raise awareness about prevalent health issues, particularly focusing on diabetes and hepatitis B.
Experts will be invited to share insights on prevention and management, emphasizing the importance of early detection and regular health check-ups.
The media tour will cover various platforms, including television, radio, and social media, to ensure the message reaches a broad audience.
Following the media tour, Denel’s Foundation will embark on a community and school tour. This phase will involve visiting schools and communities to engage directly with students and residents.
The goal is to educate them on healthy lifestyle choices and the risks associated with chronic diseases. Interactive sessions, workshops, and distribution of educational materials will be integral parts of this tour.
The foundation believes that empowering young people with knowledge will create a ripple effect, encouraging entire communities to adopt healthier practices. The highlight of this year’s activities will be the “Accra Invasion,” a large-scale health screening and seminar event.
Scheduled to take place in August, this event will offer free health screenings for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hepatitis B. In addition to the screenings, the seminar will feature talks from healthcare professionals, who will provide valuable information on managing these conditions and living a healthier life.
The Accra Invasion aims to bring together people from all walks of life, fostering a sense of community while addressing critical health concerns.
Since its inception in 2022, Denel’s Foundation has consistently supported those in need. The foundation began its journey by donating food items and clothes to the Royal Seed Orphanage, benefiting over 100 children and 65 young adults.
In 2023, the foundation extended its efforts by donating medical supplies to the Pentecost Hospital and providing financial assistance to ten hepatitis B and diabetes patients.
This year, with a focus on health, Denel’s Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the lives of individuals and communities across the African continent.
