Afrobeat and AfroFusion artist Eugene Amponsem Boakye, known in the music industry as Boy Octave was born in Elmina at the Central Region of Ghana, specifically, Akropong Akuapem.
At the age of 23, Boy Octave started music as a drummer at church then through my skills acquired as a drummer, used the same skills master beat production. He later on joined the boys brigade at the Ebenezer Presbyterian church at Sunyani and at the same time kept perfecting my beat making skills.
Few years down the line, he delved into gospel music and started singing at church. With his skills as a producer he had the chance to work with few artist like Ntelabi, Asakaa boys (Dabro by Braa Benk Ft Kwaku Dmc), (Amiri Amiri By Thomas The Great) who are already making waves.
He’s currently signed under legendary records.
