Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana, has donated GH100,000 to help the construction of the Ejura-Sekyedumase Divisional Police Command in the Ashanti Region.

The money was intended to support the roofing of a two-story facility in the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality that is almost ready to house several hundred police personnel.

This donation follows Dr. Bawumia’s original presentation of 1,000 bags of cement during the project’s initial stage in 2021, which was the brainchild of the chief of Ejura Traditional Area Barima Osei Hwedie II.

Dr. Bawumia made the donation at a brief meeting with the chief of the Ejura Traditional Area, Barima Osei Hwedie II, on November 12, 2022, in Accra.

During his presentation, Dr. Bawumia expressed his hope that the project will be completed on schedule to help improve security in the area.

He vowed to assist authorities in Ejura in maintaining peace and order in the area.

Dr. Bawumia’s humanitarian act was timely, according to Chief of Ejura Traditional Area Barima Osei Hwedie II.

He complimented the vice president for his consistent support of the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality and the Ashanti Region as a whole.

“Dr. Bawumia’s efforts to secure the realization of the Ejura Traditional Council’s objective of constructing a facility for the municipality’s Divisional Police Headquarters are exceptional.”

“We are extremely fortunate to have the support of none other than the vice president, who is committed to working to improve the peace and security of Ejura residents.”

“We at Ejura wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors and hope that he will continue to shine in his political career and help others.”
