A 12-year-old girl was allegedly fondled and licked by a 43-year-old driver who appeared at Twifo Praso District Court in the Central Region’s Twifo Atti-Morkwa District, in Twifo Eduabeng.
Chief Inspector Joseph Kusah, the prosecution’s case presenter, explained that on January 3, 2024, at approximately 8 a.m., the accused, George Antwi, a herbal medicine practitioner, invited the victim to his home for medicines for skin ailments she had been suffering.
Then, after deceiving the victim into thinking he was giving her medicine, he carried her into his bedroom, stripped naked, and forced her onto the bed.

The accused then turned off the lights, closed the windows with curtains, turned on the radio, and began touching and licking the victim’s vagina. Antwi was unaware that the victim’s two younger sisters had slipped into the room and saw what had occurred. Antwi threatened to kill them and their parents if they informed anyone in the village, in an attempt to silence them.
Chief Inspector Kusah told the court that despite the threat, the children alerted their parents, who made a formal complaint with the police and obtained a medical document.
He claimed Antwi was arrested and charged with indecent assault and making threats of harm. The accused pleaded not guilty. The court, presided over by Maxwell Foli Kpodo, granted him bail in the amount of Gh¢5,000.00 with two sureties.
The suspect was also ordered by the court to remain within the jurisdiction until the case was settled.
