Nana Romeo, a radio show host, expressed disappointment with the lack of support for Yvonne Nelson and her team’s #dumsormuststop vigil.
He chastised Ghanaians for being silent about the ongoing power outages, saying that their devotion to their ‘favorite’ political party has hampered their willingness to express unhappiness.
Nana Romeo stated that Ghanaians must address the obstacles impeding the country’s growth without dishonesty.

“There is a dearth of honesty in our country. It’s indisputable that power interruptions effect everyone. People protested the government nine years ago, and identical issues have emerged now. Yet, there is a reluctance to support the vigil, which is discouraging. The low turnout at Yvonne Nelson’s vigil demonstrates this hypocrisy.
He continued, “This should have been a united effort to draw the government’s attention to the suffering of the people. However, the lack of turnout indicates a broader issue in our society. “If we do not hold our leaders accountable, we will continue to suffer.”
Yvonne Nelson organized a vigil on June 8, 2024, to bring attention to the country’s electricity issue.
However, unlike her previous activities, this vigil drew a small crowd, revealing a disturbing lack of public interest.
