The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced the restoration of stability to the national power grid, signaling an end to the prolonged outages experienced across the country.
In a statement issued on March 29, 2024, the power distribution company clarified that any interruptions in power supply encountered by customers are attributable to localized faults.
The ECG urged affected customers to promptly report such incidents to its dedicated contact center for swift resolution and the reinstatement of power supply.

While expressing regret for any inconvenience caused, the ECG extended warm Easter wishes to its customers for a joyful celebration.
In recent weeks, there has been mounting pressure and scrutiny on the ECG from both customers and businesses, demanding the publication of a load-shedding timetable as power interruptions escalate.
In response, the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has directed the ECG to furnish and publicize a comprehensive load-shedding timetable by April 2, 2024.
Nevertheless, the Ministry of Energy, representing the government, has dismissed assertions of a power crisis, commonly known as ‘dumsor’, currently affecting the nation.
