The Electoral Commission (EC) has instructed its Regional Directors to promptly return specific Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs) utilized during the 2023 District Level Elections. The Commission has emphasized the urgent return of the designated BVDs without any delays.
In a memorandum dated Thursday, March 7, signed by the Deputy Commissioner, Samuel Tettey, the EC outlined the directive for the return of the specified BVDs to the Procurement Inventory and Management Unit at the Head Office.
The memorandum includes a comprehensive list detailing the quantity of BVDs to be returned by each Regional Director.

The memorandum states: “You will recall that the Commission directed Regional Directors to submit all BVDs used for the 2023 District Level Elections to the Head Office.”

It further notes, “The attention of the Commission has been drawn to the shortages in the quantity of BVDs retrieved from the above-listed regions.” Consequently, “The Commission directs that the affected regions should arrange to return the outstanding BVDs to the Procurement Inventory and Management Unit at the Head Office.”
