Empress Gifty’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Agradaa Adjourned to June 26.

‎The ongoing defamation lawsuit involving Nana Agradaa has been adjourned to June 26, 2025, by the Tema High Court. The delay arose after the legal representative of the defendant failed to appear in court, preventing the plaintiff’s counsel from moving for an interlocutory injunction.

The injunction, which was expected to temporarily restrain the defendant from making further allegedly defamatory statements, could not be addressed due to the procedural setback.

Empress Gifty’s legal team had anticipated presenting their arguments in support of the motion, but the absence of the opposing counsel forced the court to postpone the hearing.

In the meantime, the defendant’s lawyer has filed a motion seeking to dismiss the case entirely. This move has been strongly contested by Empress Gifty’s legal representatives, who argue that the lawsuit presents substantial claims that merit full judicial consideration.

The court acknowledged both positions and deferred any ruling on the motion to strike out the case.

The adjournment has added another layer of suspense to the high-profile case, which has attracted public interest due to Empress Gifty’s prominence in the entertainment industry.

As proceedings are set to resume later this month, all eyes will be on the court’s handling of both the interlocutory injunction and the motion to dismiss, which could significantly shape the direction of the case.
