ET Mensah to be Laid to Rest on Friday

The burial service for the late ET Mensah, former Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency and Council of State member, is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the forecourt of the State House.

Prior to the burial service, there will be a laying in state at his residence in Prampram on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5 to 10 pm. Following this, the final funeral rites will be conducted on the subsequent day.

In addition to the burial service, a thanksgiving ceremony is planned at the Methodist Church in Prampram on Sunday, January 7, 2024, to honor and remember the late ET Mensah.

ET Mensah passed away at the age of 77 in South Africa in October 2023 after a period of declining health.

The remains of the late former Member of Parliament, Enoch Teye Mensah, arrived in Ghana from South Africa on October 10.

Enoch Teye Mensah, born on May 17, 1946, served as a Minister for Education and was a Member of Parliament in Ghana from January 1997 until January 2017. Throughout his political career, he held various portfolios within the government, showcasing his dedication to public service.

Until his passing, E.T. Mensah was a member of the Council of State, contributing his wealth of experience and knowledge to national governance.

Popularly known as ET Mensah, he was married and had seven children.
