In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old man lost his life in Yorogo, a suburb of Bolga Central in the Upper East Region, following a fight that occurred on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at around 6:30 pm.
Preliminary reports by the police indicate that the suspect, identified as Abotiyariba Aduko, allegedly stabbed the victim, Asobire Akuta, during the altercation.
The police were alerted to the incident, and the injured victim was swiftly rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the medical facility, Asobire Akuta was pronounced dead.
In response to the incident, law enforcement authorities in the Upper East Region have taken Abotiyariba Aduko into custody to assist with the ongoing investigation. The circumstances leading to the altercation and subsequent stabbing are yet to be fully determined.
