Youth Impact Parliament (YIP)

On Sunday, 8th August, 2021. The First Parliament of Youth Impact Parliament had its First Sitting. ‘Rt. Hon.’ Jones Amegashie-Viglo was elected and sworn-in as Speaker of the First Parliament, ‘Hon.’ Felix Aditse and ‘Hon.’ Samuel Sackey were elected and sworn-in as First and Second Deputy Speakers respectively.

The Pilot Session of Youth Impact Parliament came to a halt as well. ‘Hon.’ Selase Kokroko was Clerk of Parliament and was assisted by ‘Hon.’ Eunice Akuamoah-Boateng (Deputy Clerk – Publicity) and ‘Hon.’ Abigail Darko (Acting Deputy Clerk – Operations). ‘Hon.’ Hilary Ofosu-Ansah was also sworn-in as Clerk of the First Parliament. ‘Hon.’ Enoch Nyadzor were also sworn in as Marshal of the First Parliament.

The house had a fruitful debate of which was deferred to the next sitting along with the election of the leadership of the both sides of the house.

The sitting was held at SRC JCR in Ho.

Youth Impact Parliament is open to all interested youths. As of now, requirement for joining is per availability to participate at its sittings.
