The Western Regional Command of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) achieved a significant milestone on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, by apprehending sixty-six migrants at various hideouts in Sekondi-Takoradi.
This operation, conducted as part of the GIS’s ‘TRIPPLE S’ Campaign, which focuses on ensuring national security, stability, and safety, resulted in the arrest of suspects involved in cybercrimes and other illegal activities.
The suspects, consisting of 45 men and 21 women aged between 19 and 54, were recruited from towns such as Tanda, Agnibilekro, Bondougkou, Nindo, and Aboisso Abidjan. Investigations revealed that Ghanaians Romio and Akwesi Daniel were part of the syndicate recruiting Ivorians under the guise of an online business (QNET).
