Despite their captivating performance and enthusiastic reception at the auditions, Ghanaian dancers Afronita and Abigail did not make it to the semi-final stage of Britain’s Got Talent.
Their audition featured an energetic dance routine to Fuse ODG’s 2014 hit song “Antenna,” which earned them a standing ovation from the judges—Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and Bruno Tonioli—who all gave them a resounding “yes.”
Their electrifying performance had initially seemed to secure their spot in the next round, and on May 19, 2024, Afronita and Abigail shared pictures of themselves flying back to the UK to continue filming the show, indicating their optimism and excitement about progressing further in the competition.

However, despite their efforts and the initial support they received, the dancers’ names were absent from the semi-final list. This was revealed in a video shared on Britain’s Got Talent’s official Instagram page and the full video on their YouTube channel, which confirmed that Afronita and Abigail were not included in the first live show’s semi-final lineup.
Their journey on the show may have been unexpectedly cut short, but their performance left a lasting impression on audiences and highlighted their talent on a global platform.
