The capital of the Volta Region, Ho, is currently engulfed in grief and a strong demand for justice following the alleged murder of Francis Senyo Doheame.

The youth in the community have united to seek answers and accountability regarding this tragic incident, which has shaken their sense of security.

Francis Senyo Doheame, affectionately known as “Eperror,” was reported missing on June 21, 2023. His lifeless body was discovered on June 24 in a secluded area of Saviefe Agorkpo, in the Ho West District. Eyewitnesses present at the scene have raised doubts about the official suicide narrative, suggesting that the scene was staged to conceal evidence of foul play.

According to those who found Francis’s body, he was discovered in a kneeling position with a yellow nylon rope tightly wound around his neck and tied to a tree. They also noted a visible wound on his left calf, which was bleeding. Francis had been a dedicated teacher at the Saviefe Agorkpo E.P Primary School before his untimely demise.

The youth of Ho have taken to social media platforms, using the hashtag #Justice4Francis, to demand a thorough investigation into his death. They firmly believe that Francis was murdered and that his body was strategically placed in the remote bush to give the appearance of suicide. Alongside their online posts, they have shared pictures of the deceased to raise awareness and rally support for their cause.

They are calling on law enforcement agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Francis’s death. Some residents have expressed disappointment in the initial handling of the case, claiming that crucial evidence, such as the yellow nylon rope and knife, was overlooked by the officers who retrieved the body.

In response to the tragic incident, the Prime Youth Band, of which Francis was a member, has organized a procession and vigil to honor his memory. This gathering serves as a platform for the community to come together, share their grief, and demand justice for Francis Senyo Doheame.

The community eagerly awaits a resolution to this devastating loss and hopes that those responsible will be held accountable for their actions.
