‘I came from nothing’ – Ghanaian boxer breaks down after winning bout in UK

Ghanaians on social media are praising a boxer named Seth Gyimah, who fights in the United Kingdom.

On Saturday, April 15, Freezy MacBones, as he is widely known, faced veteran Darryl Sharp at London’s Copper Box Arena.

The fight was MacBones’ second professional fight after turning pro at the age of 33.

However, the light-heavyweight boxer wowed the judges and won.

Despite his outstanding performance on the night, the emotions he displayed in his post-match interview have won him more fans.

During the meeting, he described the difficulties he had as an immigrant from Ghana seeking a better life elsewhere.

He advised everyone to be motivated by his win and to persevere in achieving their goals.

Freezy moved to the United Kingdom from Ghana in 2012 and began training as a boxer in 2017.

He entered the sport later than most of his countrymen, having only 18 amateur fights before turning pro, with the Darryl fight being his second after turning pro.

This leaves him with less time, an explosive ambition, and a strong will to see his profession succeed.

Last year, Seth went viral after knocking out a man 30kg larger than him during sparring at his local gym.

Many others, including Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent, shared the video of the event.

As a result, he was dubbed “British Mike Tyso.”
