Nigerian Artiste, Davido has affirmed that he covertly wedded his long-time “sweetheart” Chioma Rowland.The ‘Fall’ hitmaker talked about this during an exclusive interview since his comeback about a week ago.
The marriage, he apparently conceded, happened when he took some time off following the demise of their child, Ifeanyi, in November 2022.
Talking about what he has been doing during the break he said “I have never taken this kind of break, so just being away I have had a lot to think about – time to rest, reflect, a lot of family time and definitely time to make music again.
Before I went on break I had a Album prepared, the tour prepared, however we re-tried the Album. I’m married,a variety of things. Yet, definitely we are prepared now to get back out and back on tour,” Davido added.
In late 2022, it was reported that Davido and Chioma tie the knots days after their child Ifeanyi died.
Chioma’s family had halted the entombment of Ifeanyi by the Adeleke family, guaranteeing that the departed was their child since Chioma was not legitimately married to Davido. This is a custom practice in parts of Igbo Land.
As per Daily Sun Chioma’s bride price was paid on Friday, November 4, 2022, in a tranquil and secret customary wedding function in Lagos before the departed was covered on November 5.
A few pictures of Chioma wearing a ring surfaced online weeks after the report.
In the mean time, Davido is all prepared to deliver his eagerly awaited Album, set for Friday, 31.
The Album is out and on all streaming platforms now.
