Ghanaian musician Gyakie recently shared her perspective on dating within the music and creative industry, advising caution when it comes to such relationships.

In an interview with 3FM, she highlighted the complexities that can arise from dating someone in the same field, despite acknowledging the beauty of love.

Gyakie expressed her reservations about dating within the music industry, stating that she currently wouldn’t consider it for herself. She explained, “I won’t advise myself to do that if I have another version of me. I wouldn’t advise that because it can be very, very tricky but you never know.”

The singer also opened up about the inspiration behind her latest single titled ‘December.’ She revealed that the song originated from a place of heartbreak and disappointment she experienced with a “special someone.” She wrote the song’s lyrics during a somber moment in Paris, reflecting her raw emotions at the time.

When discussing her songwriting process, Gyakie emphasized the therapeutic aspect of channeling her personal experiences into her music. By candidly sharing her own stories, she aims to connect with her audience on a deeper level, allowing them to relate to her vulnerabilities and truths expressed in her songs.
