I’ll Be Surprised If I Don’t Win TGMA Artiste of the Year—King Promise

King Promise, the Ghanaian Afrobeats artist, is optimistic about his chances of winning the Artiste of the Year slot at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

In an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, he confidently stated his belief in winning all six categories in which he has been nominated.

The ‘Terminator’ hitmaker is nominated in several prestigious categories including Artiste of the Year, Afrobeats Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and International Collaboration of the Year for ‘Terminator 2’ and ‘Perfect Combi’, among others.

When asked if he would be surprised if he loses the Artiste of the Year category, King Promise expressed confidence in his work, stating, “Yea, hundred percent,” emphasizing the effort he and his team have put into their music over the past year.

He highlighted the impact of his releases and their representation of Ghana music on the global stage, asserting his belief in being a worthy face of Ghanaian music.

King Promise faces stiff competition in the Artiste of the Year category from artists like Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, Nacee, and Black Sherif.

Despite his busy schedule, including an Asian tour, King Promise has managed to release a new song titled ‘Favourite Story,’ featuring Sarkodie and Olivetheboy.

The 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre on June 1, 2025, with various categories to be awarded, including Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and New Artiste of the Year, among others.
