Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Mr. John Kumah, who also served as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ejisu, was confirmed deceased by a family member today.
Born on August 4, 1978, in Ejisu Odaho, Ashanti Region, Ghana, John Kumah attended Opoku Ware School for his secondary education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Philosophy from the University of Ghana (Legon) and earned an MBA in Finance from GIMPA in 2009.
Mr. Kumah was the founding Managing Director of Majak Associates Ltd, a building and construction firm with construction projects across Ghana. Subsequently, he ventured into law and founded the Aduaprokye Chambers, where he served as the Managing Partner until his appointment as CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) in 2017.

During his tenure at NEIP, Mr. Kumah spearheaded the training of 45,000 start-ups in three years through the Presidential Business Support Programme. Additionally, he supported 10,000 beneficiaries, resulting in the creation of numerous jobs for the youth across the country.
With over 17 years of continuous working and leadership experience, John Kumah’s legacy reflects his creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness in job creation, entrepreneurship promotion, and youth development.
