Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, better known as LilWin, has recently shared a touching anecdote highlighting the kindness of former President John Dramani Mahama towards him.

LilWin revealed that Mahama went above and beyond by purchasing 200 tickets for his upcoming movie premiere, ensuring that individuals who couldn’t afford tickets could still attend the event.

Expressing his gratitude, LilWin mentioned Mahama’s expressed interest in attending the premiere if his schedule permitted.

In a tweet, LilWin recounted a late-night conversation with Mahama, initially expressing concerns about potential political undertones in the film. However, after clarifying the content, Mahama not only supported the movie but also purchased tickets for those in need and indicated his desire to attend the premiere.

This act of generosity isn’t isolated, as LilWin recalled a previous instance where Mahama assisted in acquiring a school bus worth over GH¢300,000 for LilWin’s educational institution through his son. While Mahama preferred to keep this gesture private, LilWin felt compelled to share it publicly, hoping to inspire others to follow suit.

The premiere of LilWin’s movie, ‘A Country Called Ghana,’ is set for Friday, May 17, at the National Theatre, with screenings continuing until May 25, 2024, at KNUST in Kumasi.
