Snapdragon, Manchester United’s new shirt sponsor, is exploring the possibility of purchasing naming rights for the club’s future stadium as a way to help fund the project.
Following their recent agreement on a three-year shirt sponsorship deal worth £180 million ($230 million), Snapdragon has expressed interest in potentially naming the new stadium.

Don McGuire, chief marketing officer of Qualcomm, Snapdragon’s parent company, emphasized the importance of maintaining Old Trafford’s legacy. However, he noted that if there is an opportunity to attach the Snapdragon brand to the new or redeveloped venue, they would consider it.
The proposal includes constructing a new 100,000-seat stadium behind Old Trafford, a preference also supported by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the club’s new co-owner. The final decision on this proposal is expected by the end of the year, with the overall project estimated to cost over £2 billion and span approximately six years.
Manchester United is carefully evaluating all funding options for the stadium project and has stressed that any decisions on naming rights will be made with input from their supporters.
