Key routes affected included the stretch from the Airport through Shangri-La to Shiashie, Tantra Hill, Adabraka Sahara, the Ofankor Pokuase area, the Accra-Tema motorway, and First Light, exacerbating traffic congestion throughout the city.
Many shops closed due to the flooding, and some motorists opted to park their vehicles to prevent water damage to engines.
Commuters and residents have urgently called upon the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to swiftly intervene and mitigate the impacts of the flooding on affected areas.
