The Ghanaian champions arrived at the Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 17:55 GMT.

After arriving at the airport, the team went through the necessary formalities before heading to the 4-star Atlantic View Hotel, which serves as their accommodation during their stay.

Medeama embarked on their trip to Conakry with a 3-1 lead from the first leg, and they aim to maintain this advantage as they seek to advance further in the competition. They lock horns with AC Horoya on Saturday, 30th September, 2023.

The Mauve and Yellow team is pleased to have several key players back, including Jonathan Sowah and Fatawu Hamidu, who were sidelined in the Ghana Premier League match against Aduana due to minor injuries.

If successful, the Tarkwa-based club will achieve a significant milestone by becoming the first Ghanaian team to reach the group stage of the tournament in nearly a decade, following in the footsteps of Berekum Chelsea.

This would mark the second occasion for Medeama to reach the stage of a continental championship, with their previous achievement occurring in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2016.
