Broadcaster MzGee has become a focal point of attention following criticisms from musicians Medikal and Shatta Wale.
After the successful Indigo show by Medikal, he took to social media to address issues, citing a lack of media promotion of artists’ work on the United Showbiz program, instead focusing on sensationalizing stories.
Both Shatta Wale and Medikal expressed their discontent with MzGee on their social media pages following her hosting of the United Showbiz program.
In response to the criticism, MzGee utilized her social media platform to address the situation, prompting fellow journalist Nana Yaa Brefo to offer words of support.
The United Showbiz host expressed confusion over the negative reaction to her simple request for Medikal to send positive thoughts to Fella Makafui ahead of her new movie debut.

Responding to the social media criticism, MzGee pointed out that just a week earlier, Fella had been encouraged to wish Medikal well on the same program, which was positively received.
She emphasized that asking Medikal to do the same was equally valid, stating, “Last week, Fella’s comments on the O2 were welcomed, but now Medikal can’t discuss resonance? I love my work and appreciate the platform it provides. Catch you again Saturday at 9 pm.”
However, MzGee’s post drew criticism from those who deemed inquiring about Medikal’s relationship with Fella as inappropriate.
Several broadcasting peers, including Nana Yaa Brefo, took to social media to offer support. Yaa Brefo encouraged MzGee, saying, “Keep at it, more fire. You know our job.”
Background:
MzGee has been accused of attempting to overshadow Medikal’s achievements with ‘absurd’ questions.
Medikal, supported by his ally Shatta Wale, has vehemently criticized the United Showbiz host on social media, using strong language and involving her employers in the dispute.
