In the ongoing legal saga involving The New Force Movement’s spokesperson, Francis-Xavier Sosu, the lead lawyer for the controversial figure, has revealed plans to file a new application demanding that the Ghana Immigration Service produce documents central to the accusations against his client.
The attorney, Francis-Xavier Sosu, confirmed that the defense team has formally requested a copy of the alleged fabricated paperwork from the Immigration Service.
In an interview with Citi News, Sosu emphasized that if their efforts to obtain the purportedly faked documents through official channels prove unsuccessful, the defense will not hesitate to file a new application to address the situation.

The case revolves around Ms. Shalimar Abbiusi, a Belgian national associated with The New Force Movement, who was arrested by the National Investigation Bureau during an inquiry into the organization.
Following her arrest, Ms. Abbiusi appeared before the Kaneshie District Court, where she was granted GH¢20,000 bail and instructed to report to the police three times a week.
Sosu stated, “It is important that the Immigration Service will disclose these documents to enable us to advise our client because as far as we are concerned, the documents that are alleged to have been forged were not documents that were forged by our client.”
He further emphasized that obtaining the documents and information related to the visa application process is crucial for the defense to properly interrogate the case. The legal team is hopeful that the Immigration Service will provide the requested documents by the specified deadline.
However, if unsuccessful, Sosu affirmed their readiness to pursue a new application to compel the production of the documents before delving into the merits of the matter.
