Nottingham Forest welcomes Dede Ayew.

Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew has returned to the English Premier League, joining Nottingham Forest.

The signing of Ghana’s captain, Andre Dede Ayew has been announced with excitement by Nottingham Forest.

After recently leaving Al Sadd, the forward joins on a free transfer and has a contract through the end of the current season.

Throughout his tenure at Trentside, André will don the shirt number 42.

Dede Ayew said: “it’s a great feeling to sign for Nottingham Forest.

“I know how big the club is and I know how the club means to the city and the fan base. it’s always been difficult whenever I played against Nottingham Forest at the City ground and I love the stadium.

“Steve Cooper is someone who knows me very well and knows how to work with me both on and off the pitch. We have a strong relationship and he is a special coach, a special human being and someone who I really look up to”.

“I know what I can bring to the team. I’m ready to give my all and make sure that we are able to stay in the Premier League.

At the age of 33, Andrew rejoins Steve Cooper after having previously played for Swansea under the Welshman’s tutelage, where he scored 35 goals in 84 appearances.

Dede joined Al Sadd in July 2021 and helped them win the Qatar Stars League title in their first season by scoring 15 goals in 21 league games.

The skilled forward, who left Qatar after scoring 21 goals in 39 games for Al Sadd, now joins the Red in England
