The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released arrears for April following a strike declaration by personnel of the scheme.
The Concerned National Service Scheme Personnel Association of Ghana (CONSPAG) announced a nationwide strike on July 3, 2024, citing unpaid allowances that were affecting their livelihoods.

In response, the National Executive Council of the National Service Personnel Association issued a statement on Wednesday, July 3, confirming that the Secretariat has released the payment for April, which is expected to reflect in personnel accounts by July 5, 2024.
Additionally, May allowances are expected to be paid shortly after the April funds are disbursed. Personnel have been urged to remain calm as the outstanding issues are being resolved.
