Okaikoi South, May 20, 2025 — In a proactive move to address persistent flooding challenges in the constituency, Okaikoi South Member of Parliament, Ernest Keon Adomako, has announced plans to set up a dedicated sanitation task force.

The team will focus on clearing choked drains and tackling the root causes of flooding to improve living conditions for residents. Speaking at a recent community meeting, MP Adomako emphasized the urgent need for a coordinated approach to sanitation management.

“Flooding has been a recurring problem in our area, largely due to blocked drainage systems. This task force will ensure that drains are regularly cleared and maintained, reducing the risk of floods during the rainy season,” he stated.

The sanitation task force will work closely with local authorities and community members to identify critical hotspots and implement sustainable drainage solutions.

This initiative is expected to enhance public health, prevent property damage, and promote a cleaner environment in Okaikoi South.
