The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team has officially presented its report to President John Dramani Mahama, highlighting its significant role in promoting transparency and accountability in governance.
Presenting the report, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, former Chairman of ORAL and the current Minister for Foreign Affairs, detailed the overwhelming public response to the initiative.
“We received 1,493 calls through the toll-free line and 924 emails. Fortunately, all of these calls are automatically recorded, and the emails have been preserved for verification and validation,” he stated.
In total, ORAL received 2,417 complaints, underscoring the widespread public engagement with the initiative.
Ablakwa emphasized that the figures demonstrate the timely and necessary nature of ORAL’s establishment.
“So, for those who doubted the relevance and impact of this initiative, here is your evidence. President Mahama has been vindicated. It was a masterstroke—a decision that has strengthened transparency and accountability in our governance,” he declared.
The report highlights ORAL’s dedication to addressing public concerns and ensuring that governance remains transparent and accountable.
With this milestone report, the initiative reinforces the government’s resolve to recover misappropriated funds and uphold ethical governance for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
