Former Ghanaian international footballer Otto Addo has expressed his deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve as the coach of the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars.
Addo, who previously represented the Black Stars during his esteemed football career, views his return to the team as a tremendous honor.
“It’s an immense privilege to take on the role of head coach of my national team. I’ve gained valuable experience in this capacity as an interim coach, and I eagerly anticipate the challenges that lie ahead, starting this summer,” he remarked.
Addo will resume his role as manager of the senior national team after stepping down following Ghana’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended a 34-month contract offer to Addo, with the potential for a two-year extension.

He is set to join the Ghanaian team during the international break, briefly returning to Dortmund to finalize transitional arrangements before fully assuming his duties in Ghana in May 2024.
