Phil foden will stay at Manchester City until June 2027, after he signed a fresh five year deal with the club, worth around 200,000 Euro per week.
He says it was a comfortable and an easy decision and that, there is a lot more to come.
He stated: “it’s such an easy thing to say but there’s a lot more to come. I’ve a determination to always want to win and I think I’ve always been like that since I was young. Anything I play in I want to win.
“I feel like I can add a lot more goals and hopefully this season I’m seemingly doing that, so hopefully I can keep going down that road.
“It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to have signed this contract. It’s an extremely proud day for me and my family but was such an easy decision”.
He went on to state that; “I have been a City fan all my life. I’ve trained here for so many years and I’ve even been a ball boy. I love this club so much, so to know I’m going to be a part of it until 2027 feels amazing”.
The central midfielder was born on 28th May, 2000 at Stockport (England). The 22 year old played for Man City’s academy team since age nine. He then joined the senior team July 1, 2017.
Phil Foden has scored 52 goals and 36 assist in 182 senior appearances for Man City across all competitions. He won the premier League four times, the FA Cup once, the Carabao Cup on four occasions and the community shield twice since he joined the club.
This seems to be a dream come true for him. He commended his coach, Pep Guardiola and his staff for guiding him every single day on the training field and that working with them gives him the best chance of becoming the best player he can be.
