The Ghana Police Service and Ministry of National Security have refuted allegations of apprehending socialite Albert Nat Hyde, popularly known as Bongo Ideas.
Reports emerged on Friday suggesting that Bongo Ideas had been detained by security agencies. Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the Fix The Country convener, linked his alleged arrest to recent revelations made by Bongo Ideas regarding President Akufo-Addo and First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
According to reports, Bongo Ideas’ family conducted a search at various police stations in Accra but failed to locate him.
However, following inquiries into the matter, the Police stated that they have “contacted a relative who has confirmed that Bongo Ideas is at home.”
